My 2012

I think the easiest way to sum up the year is to go and revisit some older posts.

January: I was just finding my feet with this blog. It’s slightly embarrassing to go back and look at my posts! My highlight of the month was a short trip up to Caloundra with J.

February: I was running quite strongly in February, with track races and regular parkruns

March: A month of higher mileage, and middle distance races.

April: The highlight of the month was definitely going to the wedding of two close friends. My favourite trail race was also on, and I came 2nd!

May: This was a very busy month for me. I ran the Noosa 10km, started doing bikram, and we travelled to the US (New Orleans, Bolder Boulder 10km)

June: We were still in the US for the first half of June, visiting plenty of national parks! (archives). I ran another US fun run and happened to come 3rd.

July: Back to reality. I was working out of town fairly often in the middle of the year. My youngest step-sister turned 21.

August: First place in the Jetty 2 Jetty 3km!

Clare (winner of the 10km) and I

September: Another busy month. I ran Bridge to Brisbane, Greater Springfield Run4Life, and Twilight Bay Run. I was also training for my first half marathon.

October: My half marathon! J and I were both away a lot from September to November this year, but we managed to spend a little bit of quality time together.

November: My sister turned 30. I decided it was time to mix up my training. I’m running with new people and really loving to run!

December: This month can be summed up with 2 words (well, one word) – parkrun.
